In this Carver's Spotlight is a Lifesize Decorative Common Loon with
Chick Decoy by champion carver Laurie Gmyrek. This decoy is carved from Tupelo &
painted in oils. The chick was carved from the same piece of wood. There
are no inserts. Note the very fine detail burned in to the feathers,
necessary to achieve that SOFT velvety look you can only get with oils.
